India and Sri Lanka: 11 Cities by Plane for under $450 in One Trip!

Namaste!

India is a fascinating country.  The culture of India is one of the oldest and unique, and is home to many of the finest cultural symbols of the world which includes temples, churches, mosques, forts, performing arts, classical dances, sculptures, paintings, architecture, literature, and more.  If you’re ever planning a trip to India to experience its rich culture and heritage, and looking to travel around India by plane in the most cost-effective way possible, SkySurf.Travel is the tool you’ll need.

For this example, you’ll learn how to travel around India by plane to 10 cities, including Sri Lanka (a beautiful island nation often called the “pearl of the Indian Ocean”), for under $450!  It’s possible to even find a cheaper travel route at SkySurf.Travel and customize it anyway you like.

Here’s where you can travel to for the total price of $445 including taxes (about 4-5 nights in each city):

  • New Delhi, India (starting point)
  •  Jaipur, India – June 20, 2017 ($31)
  • Udaipur, India – June 24, 2017 ($43)
  • Mumbai, India – June 28, 2017 ($39)
  • Hyderabad, India – July 2, 2017 ($22)
  • Bengaluru, India – July 6, 2017 ($28)

  • New Delhi, India – August 2, 2017 ($35)

Below is a screenshot of the multi-city itinerary (BookIt List) I’ve just created at SkySurf.Travel:

Six weeks in India (10 cities) including Sri Lanka for $445 with taxes.  That’s cheaper than most round-trip flights to India from continents outside of Asia.

Here’s how I got this amazing deal.  I entered in “New Delhi” in the “Traveling From” field; I then clicked on “Depart Date” and clicked on “June 2017” to find the cheapest flight deals in June.  Finally, I clicked on the “Search Best Deals!” button.

A list of the best flight deals returns.  Since we’ll only be traveling in India (and later Sri Lanka), we’ll need to click on the “India” link each time our results appear.  By clicking on the “India” link, we’ll retrieve a list of destinations in India that are sorted by lowest airfare.

Each time you click on the “+ Add to BookIt List” button to add the flight to your itinerary (BookIt List), a popup will appear such as the one below:

Select the date you want to depart, click on the “To another destination” link, and repeat the process until you’re satisfied with your BookIt List.  If you’re flexible with dates, you can always change your travel dates once your results appear to find even cheaper deals.

Try it out yourself, see if you can find even cheaper deals, and post in the comments section below.

Bon voyage!

How to Travel the United States by Plane for Really Cheap. Fourteen States for Under $600.

Ever wanted to backpack around the United States by plane, but thought it would just be too expensive?  The United States isn’t that popular of a destination for backpackers and budget travelers, most likely because the flights to get around the United States aren’t as cheap as they are in Europe or Asia.  The United States is a big country (3rdlargest country in the world by area) with lots of national parks, a diverse geography, culture, music, and great regional food.  You can rent a car and drive around, or get around by bus or train; but what if you would rather fly to get to your destinations even quicker?  After doing some research online, I wasn’t able to find any articles on how to budget travel the United States by plane in the most economical way.  In this blog post, you’ll learn how to use the online tool SkySurf.Travel to find the most cost-effective way of traveling around the United States by plane.  No mile points needed.

For this example, I was able to build an itinerary composed of 14 states, all non-stop flights, for a total of $583 with taxes included.  Most of these flights are with Spirit airlines*, and a couple with Frontier airlines**.

Below is a list of cities I’ll be flying to.  I’ll be spending about 4-6 nights in each city for this example.  The cost of each flight ranges from $30-$60.

  • New York City (starting point)
  • Orlando, Florida ($40)
  • Atlanta, Georgia ($34)
  • New Orleans, Louisiana ($41)
  • Dallas, Texas ($41)
  • Chicago, Illinois ($40)
  • Minneapolis, Minnesota ($40)
  • Denver, Colorado ($46)
  • San Diego, California ($45)
  • Las Vegas, Nevada ($41)
  • Kansas City, Missouri ($58)
  • Detroit, Michigan ($58)
  • Boston, Massachusetts ($49)
  • Atlantic City, New Jersey ($49)

I’ve ended my trip in Atlantic City, NJ because there are frequent and cheap bus rides back to New York City (about $20).

Here’s the flight map of my travel route that was generated at SkySurf.Travel after building my complete itinerary:

And here’s how I got these really cheap prices:  First I clicked on the “Multi-city” tab, I then typed in “New York City” in the “Traveling From” input field, select the “Depart Date” (I’ve selected “May 2017” to see the cheapest destination I can fly to in May) and finally clicked the “Search Best Deals!” button.

A list returned of the cheapest flights.  I clicked on “United States” to browse the cheapest flight destinations in the United States, and then clicked on the “+ Add to BookIt List” button to add flights to my itinerary.  A popup then appears for each time I click on the “+ Add to BookIt List” button, such as the one below:

I select the date on when I plan on departing each city, and repeat this process until I’m satisfied with my “round-the-United-States” itinerary.

Below is a screenshot of my entire itinerary (BookIt List):

Here’s a great article from the Huffington Post on 21 Ways To See America For Cheap.

Not bad of a deal?  Traveling to 14 states by plane for under $600.  If you can find a cheaper way of traveling around the United States by plane, post in the comments section below.

A list returned of the cheapest flights.  I saw a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Singapore for $32 and clicked on the “+ Add to BookIt List” button to add this flight to my itinerary.  A popup then appeared, such as the one below:

I’ve selected the date on when I plan on departing Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  For this example, I’ve selected May 24, 2017 and then clicked the “To another destination” link.  I’ve repeated the above process until I was happy with my entire flight itinerary.  Here’s where I’ll be flying to for under $400:

  • Palembang, Indonesia – June 20 – 26, 2017 ($35)
  • Batam, Indonesia – June 26 ($44)

I decided to end my trip in Batam, Indonesia since you can take a ferry to Singapore for about $30.  The total for all my flights is $371. Below in a screenshot of my entire flight itinerary (BookIt List) I’ve just composed at SkySurf.Travel:

Not bad?  9 cities in Southeast Asia for under $400.  Try to see if you can beat this deal and post in the comments section below.

I clicked on the “Multi-city” tab and entered in my departure city, which is London, England (LOND). I then clicked on “Depart Date”, clicked on “June 2017”, and finally the “Search Best Deals!” button.

The cheapest flight that came up in the search results was to Olsztyn-Mazury, Poland on June 13, 2017 for $16! (Which, by the way, is a charming city in Poland with many beautiful lakes in the area.  Great for boating, camping, nightlife, and more.)

Once I add this flight to my BookIt List, I get a popup such as the one below:

I choose the date when I want to depart, and then click on the “To another destination” link, or click the “Back to London Luton LTN” link once I want a return flight back to London.   I repeat this process until I’m done adding all my flights to the BookIt List.

How to Travel Europe for Cheap

SkySurf.travel (http://skysurf.travel) is not just for booking cheap round-the-world air tickets.  You can also find cheap one-way or round-trip airfare deals, or customize your trip anyway that you desire.  For this blog entry, I’ll be giving you an example of how you can travel around a few countries in Europe for mega-cheap from NYC.  If you already live in Europe, it’ll be even cheaper.

Let’s say I want to visit Europe for two months, visit a country each week, and then return back home to New York City.  I enter in NYC in the “Traveling from” field and September 1st as my departure date.   I select the “Multi-city” option and click on the “Search Best Deals!” button.

The cheapest flight to Europe on September 1st is $306 to Naples, Italy.  I’m pretty flexible with dates, and would like to see if there are any cheaper flights to Europe in September, so I click on the “Find the best deals for September 2016” link.  I find a flight to Oslo, Norway for $181 on September 29.   I add this flight to my BookIt list.

A popup appears, such as the screenshot above.  I am going to spend a week in each country, so I select October 7 as my departure date and then click on the “To another random destination” link.

The cheapest flight on October 7th is to Germany for $41.  I add this flight to my BookIt list and repeat the process above until I’m ready to add my return trip flight back home to New York City to my BookIt list.

Below is my final BookIt list:

Please note that some airlines may charge an additional fee for baggage.  Usually carry-on luggage is included free of charge.  If you want to fly cheap, packing light is a good idea.

That’s a total of 8 countries in 2 months for $567.17; all non-stop flights.  According to this Business Insider article (http://www.businessinsider.com/10-cheapest-flights-from-nyc-to-europe-2014-9), the cheapest round-trip flight to Europe from New York City, on average, is to Oslo, Norway for $552.  So instead of just visiting Oslo, Norway, I’m visiting 8 countries for about the same price!  It’s as if I’m getting free trips to other countries by using the online service SkySurf.travel.  Here are some tips on getting the cheapest airline deals for when flying to or from Europe.  Try to fly into or out of these countries for the cheapest deals: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, France, Iceland, Russia, Ireland, or the United Kingdom. Norwegian airlines are usually the cheapest and they fly to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, United Kingdom, and France non-stop.

Let’s say I were to live in Germany and did not need a return flight trip back to New York City.  I would be paying about $175 for flying to 8 countries around Europe for 2 months. Not a bad deal!

Here are the countries I’ll be visiting in Europe for 2 months from New York City:

  • Norway – September 30 – October 7
  • Germany – October 7 – 14
  • Poland – October 14 – 21
  • Sweden – October 21 – 28
  • Romania – October 29 – November 4
  • Italy – November 4 – 11
  • Ireland – November 11 – 18
  • Denmark – November 18 – 25

Here’s my entire flight route:

How to Travel the World for Cheap

Do you have a desire to travel the world, but think it just costs too much money? If you think it’s too expensive, and money is an issue for you, keep reading this blog post.

Have you ever heard of an online service called SkySurf.travel (http://skysurf.travel)? What if I told you that you could visit 12 countries around the globe in 3 months for only $1,300 in airline tickets; possibly even lower?!

I’m about to let you in on a little secret that not even the internet knows about yet.  Why? Because SkySurf.travel is a brand-spanking-new website that was just recently launched.   Now is the time to take advantage of this online service for booking cheap flights to destinations around the world.

Here’s how it works: You simply visit SkySurf.travel and enter in your departure city and date.  For this example, I’ll use New York City (NYC) as my departure city and September 1, 2016, as my departure date.  You then select “Multi-city” and click on the “Search Best Deals!” button.  First, I want to visit a country in Europe and I want to spend less than $300 for the flight.  Browsing through my results, I don’t see any flights on that day that are lower than $300 to Europe.  I am pretty flexible with dates, so I click on the “Find the best deals for September 2016” link.  I have now found a flight to Oslo, Norway for $181 that departs on September 29!  I add it to my BookIt list by clicking the “+ Add to BookIt List” button.  The BookIt List is a list of itineraries that I’ve found on SkySurf.travel that I’m interested in booking later, kind of like a shopping cart or wish list, but for flight itineraries. Once the itinerary gets added to my BookIt List, a pop-up appears asking me if I want to fly to another random destination or fly back to John F. Kennedy airport or if I’m done searching for flights.  Since I want to visit 12 countries, I click on the “To another random destination” link, but first I’ll need to select my departure date from Oslo, Norway.  I’ve selected October 7, 2016.

Once I click the link, new results appear.  My cheapest option is to Germany for $40!  I add this to my BookIt List. No need to further explain how I get to travel the world to 12 countries for only $1,300, as you can see it in the screenshot above.  I just repeat the process by adding a week to my prior flight’s arrival date, until I’m finished and want a return trip back home to New York City.

Here’s my BookIt List of all the countries I want to visit:

Here are the twelve countries I will be flying to for about $1,300:

  • Norway – September 30 – October 7
  • Germany – October 7 -14
  • Poland – October 14 – 21
  • Italy – October 21 – 28
  • Romania – October 28 – November 4
  • Turkey – November 4 – 11
  • Azerbaijan – November 11 – 18
  • Iran – November 18 – 24
  • United Arab Emirates – November 24 – December 1
  • Sri Lanka – December 2 – 9
  • Malaysia – December 9 – 16
  • Vietnam – December 16 – 24

Here’s my entire flight route:

There you have it!  Twelve countries in three months for about $1,300!  I’ll be home just in time for Christmas to tell my family and friends about my three-month adventure around the world!

Of course, this is just the price for flights.  How much you want to spend on lodging, transportation, food & entertainment, etc. is up to you. You can find cheap lodging at AirBNB, or if you are the adventurous type and have a small budget, you can CouchSurf at CouchSurfing.com or just travel with a tent.  You can buy food at supermarkets or go out to restaurants every day.  But if you’re looking for cheap; supermarkets, public transportation, and cheap-to-free lodging is the way to go.

Check out SkySurf.travel and come up with your own cheap BookIt List.  If you decide to book a trip on SkySurf.travel, send me links to your travel blog, photos, videos, etc. so that I can post them in my future blog entries.  The world is your oyster!

Safe travels!
